How long have you bee on stock struts?

Default How long have you bee on stock struts?

Just looking to see if anyone has used the tein s tech basics and had any luck on stock struts.

why dont you just upgrade your shocks while your at it?

stock struts barley hold up to stock springs. I would just get something better when you do your springs.

^^ only if u drive like an idiot. it all depends on how people drive. alot of people say stock shocks will blow with any drop...well it all depends on how drive MOST of the time. if u drive like an ******* then ur shocks will just give out in no time. i have tons of friends tucking and still on stock springs for over a year...

but i would always SUGGEST upgrading ur struts/shocks all at one time.. just better peice of mind on my end.. i know i dont drive careful.

Actually, a lot depends on road conditions. If you live in a state/location where road maintenance isn't a high priority, you can expect to see blown struts as soon as people with poor driving etiquette.

ive been rollin strong for about 2 yrs on stock struts w/ GC sleeves and about a 2.5 in drop ....im not even that easy of a driver ...i love on/off ramps and backroads :D

...makes no since to me i just hope they hold out till Dec.

thats also a good point toyomatt84.. i guess i didnt add that in cuz the roads are ok where i live. but now that u pointed it out i realize not all roads are nice. when i went to jersey the roads looked like rocky road ice cream lol

You'd love some of the nice sized potholes we have up here. Road Salt + concrete = nightmare.
