Anybody run the Edelbrock 3" B-pipe? Mine has issues...
So I have the 2 piece Edelbrock Pro flow header and I just tried to install the 3" b-pipe. It seems to have a serious downward angle. I lowered the car off the jack stands and sure enough, it drags on the ******* ground.
The bend where it wraps under the motor seems to be more obtuse than the 90 degree bend on the other B-pipe that is mates to the cat. Also, where the secondaries merge into the 3" collector there seems to be another downward angle that gives it a slight "limp dick" characteristic.
Just wondering if anybody else has had this kind of issue?
Looks like I am taking it to an exhaust shop to see if it can be bent/modified...

I can post pics of it off the car tomorrow.
I had to take it right back off in order to drive the car. If I would have backed out of my driveway, it would have looked like a pole vaulter in the olympics...

Actually, here ya go:

I think I will try to have the bend made more acute, grind the welds off the collector, tip the 3" pipe upward a couple of degrees and rewelded.
That is what I get for going the budget route

i have that problem too on my CRX. broke the b-pipe right at the weld on my first track session. since it broke off, i was planning on grinding off the welds and take it to a shop to reweld it at the right angle.
I wonder if Edelbrock knows about this problem........Maybe you should shoot them an e-mail with some pics. i personally don't think that you should have to modify a brand new part. and also it being a brand name like Edelbrock it SHOULD fit RIGHT the FIRST time.

Update:
I just grinded off the welds on the bottom of the collector and bent the 3" pipe upward and rewelded.

I also had a bracket welded on so it could be mounted to where the stock header mounts behind the engine block to prevent any type of fatigue or cracks.
Fits right up where it should now!
