Default Hello, I drive an s2000 and I am New!

Hey everyone, i have been on here for some time now. But i never really post nething. I started with an 01 Integra B18 (hence my user name), sold it and bought an 04 VW R32, then to a truck and now to my dream car. 05 Honda S2000.

Ive owned it for about 4 months. I bought it used with 8,000 miles on it. In Perfect Condition.

I love this car. And i have big plans for it......
I have some basic bolt ons: AUT Cooling Plate, ARC Induction Box, Samco Intake Pipe, Samco Coolant Hoses (not installed yet), and T1R Strut/X-brace thingy (i duno the official name of it)

All pics are from my bros website... http://www.driftopia.com so i couldnt make the last one larger

well heres the deal. i ordered the ARC from vividracing.com (i got a nice little deal considering one of my buddies works with them)

The intake took 3 months to get
The box from ARC said AP1... vivid told me it would work on AP2. this is true but it took a bit to get it to fit just right

The box itself sounds very deep under load and does make a difference low end on the butt dyno
And besides that....its friggin ARC! all my s2k buddies here like to pop my hood just to look, touch, smell, lick it, etc...

One more thing i will add.... Get the samco intake pipe!

It looks sick (pic doesnt do it justice)
and is easy to bend around when you have to work on the car

T1R Brace: Awesome!
i think its the best strut/x brace out for the S2k. it really stiffened up the front of the car when cornering

Hi I am new as well. I too just purchased my 2002 s2k and it has 8900 miles on it now (an incredible buy). i bought it with a NOS set up, but want to get it removed. the owner never filled the bottle, hence never use it. I'm kinda sketchy on whether to keep it. plus the install isn't that clean either. I'd post pictures, but gotta get to work, and don't know how.

I think he may have been speaking in regards to your comment about your X/strut brace. It's a general consensus that strut bars and upper X-braces don't accomplish much (if anything) on our cars. Under car bracing and support do quite a bit more on the other hand.

Who cares. You have a great car, I just got my 07 in February and I got a Cusco strut bar as my first mod. Hey, it looks good.

^^ Dylan (papasmurf) was talking about regarding ARC intake... sure is gives you more air, louder than the stock, and more throttle responds, but HP? i dont think so.... known for heat soak...

...oooh and that comes from ARC intake owner...

yeah i dont no what all the hype is over a $400 box... you basically spent $700 or so on an intake($400 box, 150 arm, 250 snorkel) and thats an estimate... i bet you my $250 injen will produce more peek and overall power and prolly sounds better as well... Not to be hating or anything but some people just think because its an expensive part by a high end company, it makes it that much better. it does look pretty

well i was just replying to his statement "uhhhh you really dont know anything". im not one to start crap.... but im not one to stand down either...

im sorry guys...but i dont ever remember saying "HOLY ****!! THIS T1R BRACE MADE MY CAR HANDLE LIKE A F1 CAR!!! WOWZERS!!!"

Let me reiterate... I could notice a bit of a difference in the car...
i know there is too much hype over strut braces but i think if you were to get one that may make a bit of difference...the t1r is a good choice (along with some others)....that is all.

about the intake... the thing does get way too hot... i ordered it within the 1st week i bought the car... and after waiting forever...my plans for the car had totally changed! it wasnt worth the wait or the money.... but it looks pretty...

no im good, im sure he knows alot. good for him.

you on the other hand must just be one of the henchmen.

but seriously... im a little disappointed in some of you guys... but it is to be expected. on every forum, there are those who love every aspect of motorsports and welcome all who share that same interest and there are those who feel that they must show their E-Power and be blatantly ignorant towards others. its cool, ive seen it all before.
