Rear brake pads?
Is that necessary to get new rear if stock on still in decent shape? What are the pros and cons ($$ is definitely one of the downsides…) of changing all of them in the same time? btw, I am looking into some sheet/track performance pads (ex: Endless CC-X) would those pads ok to run with stock pads at the rear? (since braking power improved at the front, is that necessary to upgrade the rear to get the balance of braking force?)
TIA.

I went to track day once this season, stock brake were definitely not as strong as last year. cause i am going to run 2 days on the track in a roll soon so I don't want to be stuck on the track and realize my pads are dead...
last time I brought the car for service at 24K (km) check up, there were 60% left in the front and 70% at the back.... honestly I don't know how they come up with those percentage....

I wouldn't recommend running a non-streetable track pad up front with OEM rears. I know some do it, but it's not recommended by most manufacturers. However, the Panther Plus made by Carbotech, is a GREAT pad to run on the front, and you should have no problems running OEM pads on the rear. Anything more aggressive than that up front, I'd get some better/more agressive rears as well. I personally don't know much about Endless, so I can't help ya there. Hope this helps a little

upgrading the rears will help you to control the car greatly under braking. it's worth the $$ to do so if you change out the fronts. Less nose dive, more predictable turn, etc...wack,wack wack, drink a beer.

thanks for all the info, but let say, I am looking for some pads perform similar to the Endless CCX (street and track), what would be a decent rear brake pads?
TIA.

P+s squeal like a virgin getting a dp. I thought the CCX's were bad, oh my nuthing compaired to the P+'s. If they did not stop so damn good I'd consider swaping them out on the street... but damn can they stop.
For street/track pads, I don't think you can beat the Panther Plus. Great stopping power, non-corrosive dust, and rotor-friendly

yeah, if I am going with CCX, I definitely will get the CCX for the rear too. But other than Endless, is there another good front/rear pads combination for street/track? I mean even thought I've heard that CCX are great street/track pads... but they are expensive.

I ran CCX's on the front and stocks on the back for about 6 months with no problems at all.

I have a full set (front and back) of the CC-X pads on their way to me as we speak, so I cannot give any impressions of them yet.
For some additional info about the Endless pads and just brakes in general I would give Mike a call at IPS Racing. 1-866-477-7264

Never tracked them... swaped to the P+'s for the track. I was going to swap back to the CCX's the 2nd day of expo but I was too lazy cause you have to change rotors too because the CCX material does not go well with the p+ material.
But on the street, I loved the CCX's. They only squeal shen you are light on the breaks from like 10mph to 0.

rear pads = stock for the street and Panther+ for the track.
My factory rears dies at ~25,000 miles. After I installed the P+ rear pads I felt a major difference under heavy braking.
I now use Pxp's on the front and P+ on the rear. On the street the Xp's make a little noise.. but the P+ make more on the rear.

How long are j00 peeps' P+'s lasting? I got 5 track days here. I expected them to last longer than that
Well now I got a fresh set of XP's to try out. Anyone care to compare them in the usual categories?
initial bite
fade resistance
wear
noise
dust

Anyway I'm running CC-X in the front and stock in the back (street use only for now) and it works very well. With the amount of braking the rear wheels contribute in stoping the car, I'm not sure I would invest in CC-X rear pads. They are rather expensive.

is first and foremost... "you know this man"12 pack should suffice for this install...

P+
same bite as blues
same fade resistance as blues (never faded)
did not last long at all... very upsetting (2.5 weekends at most)
no noise on the street and on track
dust = lots
XP's
almost the same bite as P+/blues
same fade resistance as P+/blues (never faded)
last as long as blues... if nto longer (they will last twice as long as the P+)
some noise on the street (could be b/c my splash shields are off)
dust = not as bad as P+... but not as clean as blues
This is talking about the fronts only with the splast shield removed.... a real heavy foot and a tendency to kill cheap azz ($24.95) r0t0rs.

-who will use XP's from now on with a dedicated set of rotors...

How does "better" rear brake pads reduce nose dive ???
