Default honda blower motor

the blower motor in my 96 honda accord stopped working, i left the car overnight and it started to work again, although very loud. i just had my heating core cleaned out, fuse is fine, a voltage meter at the motor reads strong when i change speeds or turn it on. why does it work then stop working? do i need a new motor or resistor?

mine does the same thing although not as loud you described, mine does a ticking sound. last year when it was 29 degrees it just stopped and i had to drive in the COLD!!!!!! no heat. Anyway you will need a new one but in the mean time if it stops working give a SMACK and it will work again, thats what i read on a faq somwhere in here.

Hi. I need to replace the blower motor in 1991 honda accord. Would it be possible for you to give me an idea of how this is done? How difficult it is getting dash off?

I can't afford to have mechanic replace it. Having a friend that is good at this stuff (with direction).

Any guidance would be very much appreciated!

Two nuts hold the glove compartment on at the bottom. One screw on the side of the glove compartment connects it to it's strut. Once that is off on the far right side you will see the blower motor. Lay down and stick your head under there and you will see three 8mm bolts holding on the motor. Take them out and it falls down. Now put in the new one and reassemble.
