quick sensor question <===
ok theres a sensor on the intake manifold i cant identify and the worst part is i dont have my cam atm. its on the front side towards the head, marked "up" on the top and a open vacuum nipple. any ideas?

It's called the 'starting air valve' or 'air boost valve'. It provides a little more air upon start-up and is totally unneeded. 
Cap it off or remove if you need to...
