Default p2p auto ecu to manual ecu?

i have been seeing this done on obd1 cars and it seems to be working fine and i would like to do this to mine because it runs great with the auto ecu but throws a code for automatic tranny control.i have also seen it on one obd2 prelude so i think its possible if any one has done it or knows any thing about it that would be great. i have a 1997 honda civic ex that was an auto and swaped it into a manual but runs great and need to get the check engine light out because it needs an inspection please help thanks

If worse comes to worse, pull the cluster out and take out the CEL bulb

But they would fail you for an automatic trans sensor when its quite obvious you swapped it? If they're pluggin it in they should realize its a bs light

yes i know this but they seem to be different ones from the obd1 because i was looking at another post about it and it was unpining rp17 and rp18 and jumping it with a wire but my computer (p2p) doesent look like that. i have seen the post for doing this to and obd2 prelude computer and i think it was rp13 and rp14 but i wanted know if any one has every done this to an p2p auto computer thanks

You cannot convert an OBD2 ECU to manual, you must buy a manual P2P ECU for your car to run right. And you need to change the intake manifold (if the engine is auto, I cannot figure it out from the orginal post because it makes no sense!!!) to the 2 wire IACV and swap a pin on one of the ecu plugs

this has been covered to DEATH
