Took my car to the track for the first time! Need advice.
Okay i finally went ahead and decided to see what i could pull in the quarter mile. First of all i know I suck but the back end of the car gets a little squirmish and me being a little paranoid... just let off and the car bogged down to about 4000rpm and then i got on it. well here are the times. Maybe you guys can give me some pointers on how i can improve. I launched at 6500rpm both times.
2002 honda s2000 and the only mod is an AEM cold air intake.

those times are bout right for being a first timer. my 05' S2k i ran 14.5 constantly w/ only aem v2
what did u launch at? i would go around 5000-5500rpm and feather.

any other advice? i know the car was meant for a road course not a straight line. But once in a while doesnt hurt either.

NO CAR IS MEANT FOR STR8 LINE....
now that its clear.....
launch it better... drop your 60fts,... work the clutch....
shift points should be
8200 1st-2nd
8500 2nd-3rd
8800 3rd-4th..... if needed.....
