These look pretty cool, has anyone actually installed one of these? Or are they just useless gadgets?

nope. nope. nope....if your gonna get one with a pager get the one from Clarion...its excellent...there is another brand that is exactly like Clarion but i forgot there name...its like $100 cheaper also...ill post it when i remember

How about controlling your car alarm and other car function from your phone? I call a number and punch in a code and the alarm trips the coresponding relay. Its up to you what the relay turns on or off. Wait about 18 months (2004 CES) and the general public will see the next step in car alarms... its some pretty sweet ****.
