OK, so i have searched and tried most of the solutions for this code. Let me give a little background of what happened. I broke a timing belt, no biggy. Replaced the belt checked the valves and all is fine. I started the car without the valve cover just briefly before quiting for the night and it started and idled fine for about 5 seconds. The next evening i installed the valve cover and new A/C compressor (previous problem) and started the car. It idled real low for bout 2 seconds and reved to 1k then it just started slowly idling up and up and up till it was at about 4k, so i cut off the ignition. Waited a few minutes and started it again and now it idles at about 400 rpms and no matter what you do it won't rev higher. Even at WOT nothing changes. Its flashing code 16. Seems like its not getting fuel. I have an identicle car for parts so i switched injectors, checked ECT sensor. I am getting a 4.7V reading from the TPS closed or open. So i tried the TPS off the other car, same results. ??????????????????? Sorry for the long post just thought i would let you all know what i have tried. What about main relay? Where is it and what does it controll?

 

Upon further review i was probing the wrong wire on the TPS. My reading don't match the .5v to 4.5v, but both sensors (my car and parts car) match exactly so i'm thinking they are okay. Is there anyway to check fuel pressure without a gauge? Maybe GPH of a stock pump?


Oh yea, and it starts now and i can rev it for about 10 seconds and then it goes back to low idle and no response when opening the throttle.
