I was wondering if the RL's have any major problems like the trans. in the 2g TL's. I'm going to look at a 98 RL with 130k for $5600. He said that it's in excellent condition. Is there anything I need to be aware of on this car? Thanks for any replys.

 

Drive the car, make sure when it shift up from 1st to 2nd you don't hear a clunk or chirp. If it does then you gonna need a transmission servo assembly which can be costly. Also Rl have egr problem that is expensive to fix and rear o2 sensor goes out sometimes. Beside that it pretty solid and unbreakable.
