I checked Honda EPC and it seems you can have Type-R LSD brand new for about 400$. Anyone knows if that fits B16A1 cable tranny ? There are lots Ebay adverts saying "fits any B-series tranny", but since S80 is huge looking I am a bit sceptic. Anyone did the swap before?

 

i think with alittle bit of work it will fit in a 92-93 DA style cable tranny.

 

what is a little bit of work? what would have to change?

 

I am absolutely sure inner joins match Type-R LSD (I use ITR joints with B16A1 cable tranny - perfect match). I simply don't know if Type-R LSD diameter is the same as SiR. Locks (to final gear) are the same. In general : Is B16 cable tranny big enough to hold Type-R LSD?
