d16a6 into a 1990 civic dx hatch?...
is this motor a direct bolt-in, or are there any wiring/ mount issues to deal with. also, what other higher-performance engines will bolt into the 90 dx without wiring modification?
you'll need to convert to multi point fuel injection, so yes there is wiring. most engine swaps will require you to do this. do a search.
well is there a supercharger kit for the stock engine? or turbo even, and what kinds of gains can be expected from this granny-wagon engine?...
(EDIT) i read the d16 is a direct swap if i use all the old manifolds/ injection etc... and that i dont HAVE to do the MPFI swap. id like to throw in a crx si motor eventually, and even later down the road supercharge it, as my dads friend has a supercharged crx si stock engine and its built for road-racing. he very often beats on corvettes and wrx's.

the hp is going to come more from the multi point swap, not the engine. the a6 will not run properly with the dual point mani, it'll be too lean. you could mpfi the d15 and it will give a noticeable differance and you will not have to pull the engine. the instructions to do the swap are all over H-T and the rest of the internet. just changing the engine itself will give an improvement but not what you would think.
