Custom Ignition - "The place where you put the key in :)"
When I bought my project car 92 CX hatch the ignition was broken and just hanging so as I am completely redoing everything in the car besides relocating the ignition somewhere else anyone have any ideas? about where to put it?
thinking around where the cigarette lighter is in that area or some place else slightly hidden.
any ideas would be great.

my buddy has the same issue. he relocated his to the left side of the steering wheel. where the si hatches or ex coupes came with the power mirror button. its just a blank spot to remove the cover and relocate to there. its interesting. i dunno how much custom fab u would need to do in order to get it to look factory but its just a suggestion
fuse box is in the glove box fits perfectly, only because ive seen it done more then a handfull of times.
As for the key located where the power windows thing is not a bad idea quite good, you wouldnt even have to extend the wires.
anyone have any other ideas?

Exactly.
****, you can jump the clutch switch and put it in the trunk if you want to.
EDIT:
PS: Another thing I've seen is the dual-key trick.
It's quite simple, one unlocks your doors/glovebox/trunk/valet trunk lock, the other starts your motor.

any photos of all of this??</TD></TR></TABLE>
No, I don't have any photos of this.
I don't mean jump the clutch as in pop-start it. I mean jump the clutch saftey switch (so you don't need to press the clutch to start it). Then you can start it from the trunk. Just re-wire the ignition. If you're real smart about it you can make a dual ignition (both the key in the stock cylinder, and an extra cylinder someplace).

I wouldn't quite call that a "trick."
My car was broken into and they broke my ignition. I had to buy a new one that comes with a different set of keys. The original set works for everything exterior and the random interior things, and the new set only works on the ignition. More of an inconvenience than a trick
