im just wondering how much do audio installers make a year the mecp certifide ones and if anyone who answers this questio does that can u tell me how do u like your job

 

when i worked at best buy i was a car audio saleman...but i was close with the installers....thoes guys got a base salary then alot of bonuses depending how many cars they did and other things they figured in.....but i can tell you this they were making VERY good money....the work alothough not that hard was very tiresome cause they were always busy......but for the most part i think most of the guys liked there job....maybe not our bosses but who likes there boss when he is on a power-trip.......but the profession can be very rewarding if you find a good place to work at....and if you have a best buy in your area i would def. recommend it

 

at my place enought to buy a brand new corvette, the new viper, and some other amg mercedes, and have jl w7 in the back. he has a stock room full of jl subs. the main reason why is location, in a black neighborhood, where they all compete against each other on sound so they are constantly upgrading their systems.

thanx guys for your responds but i have another question how do you think a audio installer living in nyc would do as far as money since its a major city in the u.s

 

whats average pay because if you get a regular job thats good you make about 30k a year now is that what your talking about regular pay and being certified you think you can start off with a 29-35k job

 

agree 110% with evil tekken! when i worked for best buy i was making 30-40k as an installer and even more as a shop lead, but i left for a less stressful shop that does custom work. pay is about the same but a more laid back environment and you get to build a clientell that comes back to see you. if you are interested in a car audio career best buy would be a great place to start for your first year or two because of the volume of cars so you caan get a good knowledge of them

 

thanx for the reply because im thinking about going to school for audio installion and im in nyc and i was wondering about how much money i could make in doing this, also does anybody know any shopsin nyc that would hire from ritop audio installion students because thats where im going and i would like to have a general idea of any shops and some pay net income thanx alot

 

I do all right on installing ... it all depends on where you work... I work at a private owned audio shop..... i started off at 8.00 an hour got paid cash every week.... average about 45-50 hours a week
