Default Question for all members running Stoptech Brakes

Has anyone found a "16 wheel that will clear the caliper? Exact specs and offset would be nice.
I've heard rumors of "16 wheels clearing but my CE's TE's and MF10's hit on the inside of the wheel.

Ive never heard of Stoptech Big Brake systems working with 16" wheel.

If you look at the picture below, the calipers have less than 1/8" on each side of the caliper from the wheel. I wanted to run a 16" wheel but it would physically not fit in there. If anything were to be used, it would be spacers but the wheel would sit so far out.

On top of that, the Stoptech system showed little performance difference as opposed to stock (with race pads). I had it and sold it.

thats the first I heard of not being better than stock. On the track everyone says they have much less brake fade

Gil, I say ditch the brakes and keep the wheels

I'm waiting for George to post, I'm sure he among others can offer some suggestions as far as brake setups.

already sold the CE's. TE's and MF10's are next.
I really like the construction of the Stoptech kit. Better than the Spoon calipers I gave my brother.

Granted, my sessions were only 20 minutes in length.

My brakes have never faded, once, On OE pads even on faster tracks such as Portland International (without the Festival Chicane) and Pacific Raceway (Seattle) which has sections known for being pretty hard on braking systems.

I've used EBC Reds, Axxis HP+ and Rams pads. I think the R's stock braking system is pretty hard to beat, especially with the upgrade in pads.

I'd say, if you wanted a blingy brake setup, grab some Stock S2K rotors, mill out 1mm from the center bore and grab some Spoon Mono Blocks... Or just do this with all S2k Hardware such as rotors and calipers... This will fit under a 16" wheel.

I just can't say how much "better" your braking will be, although the larger disc will def help with heat dissipation, a good pad will stop just as well on a OE R system

well its a fact the thicker two piece rotor is better for less fade, longer rotor and pad life.
And I got a killer deal on the brake setup that i couldn't pass up. But your right, stock brakes work great for some people

HAHAH... Yes, sorry. Hawk HP+

If you can get teh UlTamyt deal on the stoptechs, do it... other wise, I dun know an ITR owner out there that will say that there is a system on the market that will substantially out-perform a OE + race pad system.
