Anyone know of a place in/around Chi where I could purchase some wheels from? JDM wheels, or any wheels for that matter(like Rota's).

highly recommend this shop for wheels. very cheap price for wheels + tires.

 

i would also have to say topspeed they give you a deal on rims+ tires. especially on rotas. but being that it says your banned i think this is useless...

great prices you cant really beat. top speed is even on rota's website as dealer. they are cheap. any reasons why you put a thumbs down?

 

try gtmotoring out in crystal lake. havent had a chance to stop there. but have heard nothing but good things.

 

i went into topspeed and asked about tein coilovers for an EF hatch and they had no clue what i was talking about...thats why

 

only thing that i have heard about top speed is that they are very good with wheels. so they might be your tire / rim experts in the import world... otherwise i say one6 for anything for mark hes awesome at what he does.

ps they are in elk grove village.

im sure they know what it is. maybe you didnt state it right or ask the right questions? their main suspensions that they sell are teins. Top Speed is one of the main Tein Dealers.
if you're wondering why i know so much about this shop, its because i associate with them. but dont get me wrong, there are also plenty of other good shops out there, but if you want parts for a reasonable price, especially wheels that are more than reasonable, TopSpeed is a great place to go.

If you're looking for rims/rotas: one6. Mark usually keeps that stuff in stock, and if not he can get it pretty quickly and at a good price.

I've brought 2 sets Rotas from Top Speed before, they aren't bad. The prices are decent with tires included and they even install them for you. Hahaha.......Can't comment on One6, I've never been there but heard they are good too.

But Top Speed is your best bet if you lookin for some Rotas or Sportmaxx, they have a decent selection. If you don't like it go to Pepboys and get some Prolines.......Hahaha

 

top speed sucks ***...i only go in there to buy generic stuff like bulbs and videos and stuff...they have no warranty at all on any of their products...even unopened ones they wont exchange or refund u for.

and i am sure it was they didnt know what tein was...i have asked them about so much stuff that any reputable/home civic shop would know and they had no clue what i was talking about...

ie...asr brace, ctr sway bar, turbo stuff, nrg products, interior products for my car. its ridicolous. i guess they think they can have a tuning shop cause theyre asian. i would never recommend top speed for anything worthwhile on your car. but maybe thats just my experience.

i hear nothing but good things about one6 (got work done there before) ....getting my car tuned at profunction in the next weeks as well.

 

asr bars has been known as an online thing/ht/honda thing. its not as known to most people. plus, they make it for hondas only. now if its brands that can fit most cars, like nrg(which they carry), im sure they know what that stuff is.

like ive talked to them about function7, of course they have not heard of that brand...because ITS Just a Honda thing!

dude, you don't need to be donald trump to know that to effectively run a business, you NEED to know brands, specifications, current trends, industry news, etc.. If you don't know what's out there, how the hell are you going to cater to your customers?

Well I think Top Speed caters pretty well because believe it or not but not too many people actually go in there and ask for that stuff. Most people don't know anything about Mugen, Function and Form and such. I have gotten work done by them and they been great. So I guess it depends what one is looking for, but as far as him having a pretty successful business, I would have to say he does. But I also heard 0ne 6 is good too, but Top Speed is local.

I really doubt this. Their shop has a big *** Tein logo on the front of the shop!!!

I think Top Speed is pretty cheap compared to One6, but I would recommend One6 for everything......good company and he knows what he is doing and talking about. Top Speed is where I buy parts
