Default need advice on IM

hello fellow HT gurus. need your advice on whether to get the skunk2 pro IM for my jdm b18c motor or just stick with the stock type R one. right now i have skunk2 pro 1 camshafts in it. was wondering if the skunk2 pro IM would help powerband.

The skunk pro manifold is alot better than the blox or the type r. The blox is supposed to be a near copy of the type r. The original skunk manifold is even better than the blox!! Blox sucks!!

or course thats not true at all. the runners on the blox are actually larger than the skunk, and the blox will make more top end than the skunk manifold will.

sorry i may have interpreted an email incorrectly.

this is an email i got from a company regarding having my blox manifold ported.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">We've found that the Blox manifolds need little
exept runner entry work and port matching on 1.8 liter applications. We do
"clean-up" the entire runner during the process, but we don't add much to
their cross-sections, as they are already fairly generous from Blox</TD></TR></TABLE>

And they said the Skunk Pro was smaller? If so I missed it in that E-mail. Pic's would be good when YOU compared them.

the blox manifold does suck. my friend had one on his gsr hatch, and could barely feel anything, i have a skunk2 pro intake manifold on my b16a with also a 68mm tb from skunk2, and LOVE IT. LOVVVVVVVE IT.

you can feel it pull sooo much harder.

skunk2 intake manifold, no questions asked.

i suggest though, get the skunk manifold and the tb, will feel sooo much more. i would put there manifold on any car. they did great!!

I should take your advice with the skunk2 tb. I have the pro series mated on to a stock gsr tb.

Stick with the type-r, the skunk 2 is built to match the type-r. Just send out your TB and IM and have them match bored to whatever millimeter is gonna best suit your set up. Visit http://www.maxbore.com they do really nice work and its cheap

yea actually i just found an old thread not to long ago. it test the performer x against other IM. and it blew them all away. mind you this is on a fairly built motor. perfomer x just doesnt look as nice as the skunk2 IM... i have a b18c-R by the way. stock for now but will be putting in skunk2 pro 1s VERY soon. just wondering what IM would be best suited for this setup
