Default Anyone running the Skunk2 Pro-Series Valve Springs on their H22 yet?

I called and spoke to Brian @ Skunk2 (very nice guy) about a week or two ago and inquiring about Skunk2 Pro-Series valve springs for the H22 since they don't list it as being available in their 2007 catalog or on their website. He said that for the H22 if you are running Pro-Series cams they recommend running the B'series Pro-Series Valve Springs (part# 311-05-5350) and a "Spring base kit" (part# 312-05-0015). He said this base kit aligns the valve springs to work properly for the H22.

I'm not doubting that this works, he was very sure it does. But if you look at Skunk2's Tuner Valve Spring lineup they have two different valve spring kits for each respective setup. In the same way, I'm wondering why don't they just offer a different Pro-Series valve spring specifically for the H22? Does anyone have experience running the B'series valve springs with this Spring base kit on the H22? Can anyone see this being a bad idea in any way?

Btw, I'm planning on running the Pro2's.

The base kit just refers to the retainers on the bottom to give the spring a centered base. All you would need to do to mix them would to find out if the dimensions are the same. (Most Aftermarket springs are wider than stock requiring a bigger retainer on top and base plate on the bottom.)

The companies that list the B Series and H Series springs as being the same are not right but they are not wrong either... they do physically fit as we have indicated but they are short. Take a look at the 308-05-0300 Ti Retainers, they are listed for B & H motors...

The spring base we ask you to use not only centers them but also corrects the installed height and insures that the advertised seat pressure and open pressure are the same as what is advertised for the B.

Not using the S2 base would slightly reduce the springs base seat pressure and would not provide the spec'd open pressure needed.

We did it this way to reduce part numbers and shelf space. We would have done it the same way back when the Tuner Series were introduced but we did not know this then...
