I recently got my first DA and have encountered some problems that seem to be common for this model. Searching for help/solutions to these problems has proven to be tedeous due to the fact that there are multiple threads about the same thing with very little information in each.
The point of this thread is to post any questions/suggestions/solutions to any problems related to the title. I have gathered just a few examples of other threads that have been created but are a PITA to look through.
Rear Defrost problem links:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1598366
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1461432
Common problems seen here are that the rear defrost dosen't work and both fuses have been checked and OK'd, other electrical problems seem to come hand in hand with this such as wiper problems, no seat belt beep, dome light problems, and random beeping from under dash.
I have found from reading through other threads that this is most likely a faulty ICU. They are expensive from the dealer and cheap from the junkyard but the biggest issue is its location. Being right behind the under dash fuse panel you have to take out/unplug almost everything to replace it. If anyone has done this could post some tips/hints/results possibly a DIY this would be great along with any other information on this issue.
Bouncing Tach problem

The bouncing tach problem also seems to have many different causes related to it. The most direct and easy way to tackle this is to remove the distributor cap/rotor, help for doing that ->https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1324937. Once the cap/ rotor have been removed locate the ignitor, small box with 4 spade connector wires running to it. Remove each wire ONE AT A TIME clean, re-crimp for a tighter fit and apply some dielectric grease to it. Apparently the stock distributors are notorious for loose connections. put everything back together and go for a ride to see if it worked.
Some people have solved the problem there but for others, including me, the problem was still there. I have heard that just replacing the ignitor might work, also replacing the entire distributor. and like the rear defrost problem the ICU may also be contributing to the problem.
Again post ANYTHING helpful that is related to the above information that way there is one thread dealing with this seemingly common problem and everyone can collaborate to hopefully solve some of these issues

come on guys, all of these things are covered under Tech Tips on G2ic.com.
You have an ICU problem. Little light grey box mounted to the back of your kick panel fuse box.

yea i found some things on G2IC, most of the posts on that site are vague. I just wanted to make a thread on HT that had all of the related information in it that was easy to find when searched for.
I did find that i have an ICU problem just wanted so input on how it is replaced from someone who has replaced it. It looks like a pain in the ***. Also if i replace it will all of these problems go away?

Oh yeah, sorry, I didn't read. YOU WILL have these problems covered if you change the ICU.

I know that the oil light is associated with the ICU, so if you have a blinking oil light (and you made sure that your oil pressure, switch, wiring is all ok so you don't screw up your engine) that could be the culprit.
i have a 92 integra and it seems to have a bouncing tach. when i let off the brake and gas while driving and sorta idle to slow down the tach bounces and the car jerks around a bit, only when i am doing les than 60 kms. i was told that its because the iacv (idle air control valve) is dirty and i should clean it or replace it. it sound pretty easy so i'm gonna give cleaning it a shot. hope thats helpful. if it doesn't work for me, i'd like to hear some ideas if anyone has any.
In my DA the tach reads too times higher than it should. I've tried a different cluster, different dizzy, checked connections, what could it be?
rear defrost, cruise control dont work. left wiper goes way too far over..to the point where it could wipe my driver window and oil light/sound comes and goes when it wants in my 92
