Default Which radiator for 97 GSR

My the radiator on 97 GSR started leaking from the seam. I am looking at the full metal 2 row one at radiatorbarn but not sure it'll fit with stock fan or not. I emailed them and got two replies, one said ti fits the other not sure. Any one used one of these can tell me whether it'll fit or not.

I have the full-aluminum radiator barn radiator and so does my brother, I have stock fans and he has slim fans, and everything fits fine.

Yes, the full-metal one is 2 row and the metal/plastic one is 1 row. So yes, we have the full aluminum 2 row radiators.

I need a new radiator too because I'm experiencing the same exact problem as the OP but I don't understand the difference between the two row and the one row. I was going to get the plastic one with an aluminum core because I thought it would be lighter and it's cheaper.

The plastic one has plastic 'endtanks' or whatever you want to call them, like the stock one. The all-metal one doesn't so it won't crack/seperate like the stock one does and it's thicker than stock too.

Do the stock fans work or do you need aftermarket slim fans or do you gotta cut anything for clearance?

I don't know if you guys are having different results from your radiator barn all aluminum radiators, but mine started leaking from one of the lower seams within a year and a half. I finally went with a Koyo 2 row all aluminum radiator. Got it for $300, which is more expensive than a lot of people would want to pay, but the welds look really good they arent masked with black paint to hide crappy welds, like the radiator barn ones. Just letting you know my experience with that radiator

Yeah, where are you guys getting new radiators at for $80? All the auto parts stores around me want $112.

Yes, stock fans work with no modification at all (speaking from experience, on my own daily driver).

Now you got me worried. I wanted to buy from a local store for easy return if needed. But was unable to find a full metal one as cheap. But looks like full metal one could break just as easy. What's your experience with returning it to radiatorbarn, did you have to pay return shipping?

I just installed the full metal 2-row one from radiatorbarn. The fans fit but not as well as with the stock radiator. It's much heavier and takes 1 qt more of coolant. Problem is it doesn't seem to cool as well. The temp needle used to sit at 1/4, now it sits at 1/3.
