Default radiator [searched]

hi, i just bought a 1990 accord ex for $500.00!! and she runs fine but however i didnt expect to get a perfect ride and encountered a few problems.

so ive read through the radiator problems about how the fan stays on and so does mine . which one would you say is the best to start at, the fan switch, coolant temp switch, fan timer?
oh can a different cluster have anything to do with it if its not wired right?
thanks

Its about $15 for a Haynes repair manual or see if your local library has one for reference for free and do an online search for the part through your favorite discount parts warehouse website. My CD drive is toast so I cannot access my MOD right now, the second one to go out, exactly the same model on two different towers, I wont buy that brand again.

Dont just take my word for it, you need the repair book to troubleshoot the problem before you go buying parts. But it is a very common problem, my JDM cars are not as complicated as your USDM vehicles. I do not think any job is difficult, some just take more time than others.

To see how the radiator fan timer looks like and it's location, see this link:

http://techauto.awardspace.com/overheating.html

slhonda.com part link:

http://www.slhondaparts.com/br...=true

May get better price at Majestic Honda though, than slhonda.com

Tas Auto part link:

http://www.secureleadercom.com...age=2

Actual Honda part $115-$150. Check around if there is aftermarket, etc.

does the fan stay on forever or just for a few mins? have you checked.

when its really hot, the fans will stay on for awhile, to cool the block. my car does it. however if you go out in the morning and they are either still on or your battery is dead then you should be concerned
