Today I was driving around and from a stop i did a full 1st gear pull and right when i tried to shift it blocked me out of second. I left in neutral and coasted to the next light where I got it back in first and after that it was super notchy.
It started to get better after that, drove on the highway a bit and around town then when i was like a block from home i stopped at a stop sign and when i pushed the clutch in to put it in first....nothing. Tried again, released the clutch, into first...still nothing Turned off the music and when i push in the clutch (which doesnt go down very smoothly) there is a weird clicky/kinda grinding sound. My clutch has been fine until now, hasnt slipped or anything.
I went back out after that ^^ to see if i could try anything while it was in the driveway and it started up fine and shifted fine...WTF?! Drove to my GF's house (15 mins away), still fine. When I left it was still ok but like 2 mins after i leave it starts getting all notchy again, like i have to push REALLY hard to get it into gear and the car is all jumpy when i push in the clutch and try to shift (ya know like when you first try to learn a stick lol) The clutch pedal is really tough to push in and is also notchy (best way i can describe it
I checked the bottom of the tranny case to see if it was maybe cracked and letting out all the tranny fluid and there is oil all over the bottom, not dripping though (but u can see the droplets kinda "hanging" onto the tranny) and their are no oil spots on the driveway. How do you check the tranny fluid level? ive never changed it so im pretty clueless as to where the drain plud is (i think the fill hole is right below the engine block stamp? the rubber thing u can pull out?) I really need help guys

sounds like a broken clutch plate. there is probably a piece of metal that broke off that holds the springs in place. and its getting lodged in your pressure plate. so you are lucky its grabs ever. change it before you mess up your tranny. ive seen that exact same thing happen twice now. on my own car and on my buddies car.
Yup sounds like a spring let loose in there, had it happen on my lude, and just pulled apart a celica alltrac that same thing happened, even with a spec upgraded clutch.
