Doing mini me swap soon, quick questions
Ok so i have the head on the way and i just need a few more things before i can start the swap. For one i need a single d16y8 head bolt and im wondering if anyone on here can hook me up with one uber cheap or point me in the direction of where i can get one online. i tried finding some honda sites but none i found carried the damn thing.
Also i wanted to check these head torq specs cause i thought they seemed kinda low as far as how tight it sais to make the bolts so i wanted to make sure this is correct. its from alldata and is the cylinder head installation info given for the 2000 civic EX.
Tighten the cylinder head bolts sequentially in four steps.
1st step: (1) - (10) 20 Nm (2.0 kgs.cm, 14 ft.lbs.)
2nd step: (1) - (10) Nm (5.0 kgs.cm, 36 ft.lbs.)
3rd step: (1) - (10) Nm (6.8 kgs.cm, 49 ft.lbs.)
4th step: (1), (2) Nm (6.8 kgs.cm, 49 ft.lbs.)
Does that sound right?
Also just to clarify one last time for the y8 head on my a6 block i need to set the cam timing 4.5 degrees advanced yes?
