its JUN ecu
I am getting a JUN ECU for my 98 type r. It extends my redline to 9600. I am hearing that I am going to bend my valves with this ecu. What can I do to prevent this. I also talked to someone who has this installed on there car for a year now and he has had no problems. So will they be ok?

do you have jun cams? no? then dont get the ecu. if you do have jun cams, then get it, but get upgraded valve springs and retainers

i've never heard of anyone bending their valves due to their ecu.
You *may* see *some* benefit with the JUN ecu but not very much. You would probably want to get a v-afc on the side to tune it a bit because the maps are designed for JUN components. Save your money and get something else. BTW..just because the redline is 9600 doesn't mean you should shift there... thats around 2000 rpm over the peak hp your car will make with the stock cams...probably more than 2000.....
BTW...a buddy of mine put down 182ish to the wheels on a b16 with stock cams, JUN valvesprings, ctr pistons (std bore), stock headgasket, 4-1 header and a JUN ecu. Go figure...

In all honesty, I do not think that JUN would reccommend a 9600 Redline on an ITR unless you had a SUPER-DOOPER built bottom end. Almost all of the JUN ECU's that I have seen have been to 9100. If you do not have the JUN Head Package, then I would highly reccommend that you stay away from that ECU. I would also try to make sure that it is a REAL JUN ECU.

does somebody have specs of the Jun-ecu which fits to JUN 2 cams ?
vtec x-over ?
Rev limit ?
I am running JUN 2 and a power FC... But this JUN`s are hard to tune
Some JUN-ECU setting hardfacts would be very helpful.
BTW,
I have a crower valvetrain, which is one of the best in my eyes (cams is another story)... and I`m running rev limit 8600 again... It`s just for peace of mind.
If I had everything stock, just the fc, I maybe would run a 8700rpm redline. I guess that`s enough...
