First of all, white usually means coolant has been mixed with oil, which coincides with your head gasket guess.

Good luck, it's quite a bitch of a job.

Regarding your vacumm lines(referred to as Secondary Air Injection System), it seems like you're missing the control solenoid. It's a little sensor unit bolted to the right corner of the airbox (if you're standing at the front of the car looking into the engine bay, right in front of the belt pulleys). I will refer to the 2 hoses for the vacumm line as (upper) and (lower). There are two ports on the solenoid unit as well, referred to again as upper and lower, if installed correctly with the cylindrical **** pointing upwards. The system goes like so:

(upper) tube > vacumm line with the white **** in the middle > vacumm tank (plastic box) > medium length vacumm line > bottom port on the solenoid

(lower) tube connects to upper port of solenoid.

BTW this is off the top of my head, though I just finished a complete motor swap 2 days ago. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: Changed url to link directly to head gasket.

I also see a missing crankcase breather hose that runs into the intake.

some of those missing things might be the idle issue. when u mess wit the vacumm it can affect the idle. example most of us have done.... pulling the hose to suck in seafoam, the idle starts to bounce.

MAP Whack?

Personally, my car runs and idles fine with no air pump, no secondary air injection. I just plugged them bitches up, threw the airpump in the trash. There were idling problems, though, when I messed with the PCV and crankcase breather. Just figured I'd mention that.

Ok so you looked harder than I did. :e-cookie: Any other bad gaskets/seals would rear its head as soon as you start taking **** off. That's how I find problems.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Atheist &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Here's the weird thing now: I went to top off the coolant in the radiator with my hose and when I did the water coming out has a sort of chemically fizz to it. I then drained all of the coolant and re-filled it with 100% pure water. I ran it for a while and checked again, when I put more water in it had the same fizz when it came otu and splashed.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

Isn't it bad to run hose water in a radiator? I thought distilled was a mandatory thing. Would that affect the "fizz"?
