Default whats everyone reving there accord euro r to?

I got a h22 accord euro r..the rev limit is set at 8200 via hondata s200..it seems like it still pulls when it hits the rev limit..just wondering what a good safe rev limit on a stock motor...thanks

why don't you just put it on something other than the butt dyno and see where it stops making power?

and at some point you have to worry about piston speeds with a stock valvetrain

With stock cams....low 7000's is where it stops making power.
8200 on the stock tach is not 8200. Up that high its off by a few 100.
Get on the dyno.....

8200 is probably about as far as you want to take it, maybe too far.

He can rev it that far but hes not making power up there......I rev my stock H22 to 8500 sometimes......only difference is I make power to 82-8300!

i think im just gonna keep it 8200..until cams/springs/retainers and valves come in..then it will hit the dyno..

8200 is probably all you want on the stock engine. With a built head you could probably go farther, but once you exceed Honda's factory specifications, all bets are off.
