I think that's due to our tough safety laws on new vehicles.
Purto Rico gets Lancers since the VI if I remember correctly...they get everything and is only miles away from our coasts.
Nice to see some Type Rs in countries, besides the typical ones we normally hear about.. My friend's father actually lives in Puerto Rico, and owns a Lancer Evo VI and an R33 Skyline.
I just have to write this because I almost fell off my chair while reading all this Puerto Rico nonsense. Where to begin? Lets start by educating everybody in this thread. Puerto Rico is a Commonwealth of the USA, in other words it is basically an unofficial state. As a result of this, everybody who is born in P.R. is a US citizen. By the same token, ALL cars are U.S. spec'ed cars including emissions and crash testing standards. There has NEVER been any EVO's available there nor any STi's or Skylines. Puerto Rico gets the EXACT SAME cars you get in the States. Whoever told you that his dad owns an EVO and a Skyline in P.R. is full of it. Concerning the ITRs, you could buy them at any of the many Acura dealerships in the island. Believe me, there is plenty of them on the roads & tracks there. Thought all of you may want to know the truth about P.R. and the cars available there. How do I know? Because that is where I am from
