the type-r are black/bronze
90% of the type-s owners have them in black/bronze but they're not type-r's
just as long as you don't put a type-r or type-s badge on your car, it'll be fine

Seriously, if you like it, put it on your car. What fun is buying a car to modify to other peoples' liking? Its your car! If you think spinners would look cool on your car, then put spinners on your car. If it was up to Honda-Tech, all the cars would look exactly the same...which is lame.
Think of the great cars our there. The white RSX with the gold plated ITB's. I doubt he asked Honda-Tech if it would be cool for him to do it. He just did, and now his has probably one of the most well known DC5's on the site.

no it is not ricey at all...and who the !@#$ cares if it is ricey or not...Who the hell are they? The rice police? Just go with what you want to do...I've seen lots of 96-99 hatch with the 99 si lips and nothing wrong with that...

exactly the main point ... everyone has their own taste and you shouldnt have to worry if anyone things your ricey or jdm do as you please and dont second guess your own judgment ... plus there will always be people who share your taste and like what you do and there is also others who will not agree with you ... its just how the world is ... just do what you think you would do ...

not at all, I wish america wasnt the only gay country in the world to not have the DC5 R so my plan is to get the whole type r lip kit, I have the wing and front lip, I know I dont have a type r but im going to try my best to look like it cause ITRs are awesome , I dont think I would ever put the "Type R" badge on it but if I did I would make damn sure that my car was almost identical to a real R, when I hear rice I think of big bleacher bench wings, and a bunch of random mods that dont go together at all, i dont think of a type r wing on an LS, or a Type S lip spoiler on a base, to think thats rice is kind of closed minded to me
