Hey everyone, I've been lurking the forums for a while now, figured I might as well go ahead and introduce myself to all of you. I actually don't drive a type R, I have a 1997 Adriatic Blue Pearl Integra LS, but I think that the type R owners in this forum are more mature (for the most part) than the other Integra forum, so I lurk here instead of there, haha. Just wanted to say hi to everyone, and hopefully actually start posting around a little more.

I wish, but I'm only 17 and I can't afford one, nor would I be able to drive the car to it's full potential, so it would be a waste of such an amazing car. I plan on keeping my LS for as long as possible, and as soon as I can, I will begin autoxing with my current Integra, and somewhere (2-3 years) down the road I will buy a newer car. I've ridden in a 97 type R at an autox before, it's just a totally different Integra. I love them, and I am considering getting one when my insurance is cheaper, when I have a garage to keep it in, and when I can actually afford it in general, but whatever car I get next will definitely be more performance oriented, (not that my LS is bad) and probably won't be my DD. Thanks for being so welcoming haha. I knew you were a bunch of cool guys.

Smarter than most 17 year olds I know.

Yeah, I mean I wish I could have a type R at 17, but my parents aren't rich, and I would hate to crash such a rare and sought after car. But, I did still get what I wanted, which was an Integra. I still love driving it to this day, and once I start modding it I will definitely love it even more. I think it actually means so much to me because I worked my *** off to pay for it. It changes things when you buy them yourself..

Good stuff man. You DO enjoy your car a lot more when it's your own blood sweat and tears put into it.

Oh wait you're 17, you can't drink yet.

I'll have to do more research on Expo 8 as it gets closer..sounds fun. I wonder if my friend would be willing to make the drive with me.

I do want one, but it would be pointless and a stupid decision on my part to get one. I just don't have the money or a garage to keep it in at this point, and having a garage is the only way I would ever even come close to feeling comfortable with an R.

He wants one right now, he's just down to earth about his priorities and knows he can't get one now, he will eventually. Especially if he goes to Expo.

Plan for it now, do some research now because it sneaks up on you, ask me how I know... A real cool thing about Expo is how everyone caravans from all over the country to it. For Example, you'll be going from Texas, I know of ITRs that will probably for SURE be going, so what'll happen is you'll meet up and leave with them, and meet up with more and more guys along the way. Definitely makes the drive much worth it in itself. Search and read through some past Expo threads, you'll find 1000s of pictures and quite a few videos.
