First, lets get some things straightened out first: There's no such thing as a "drift spoiler" for a civic. It's a FWD drive car and you can't really drift in that kind of car. Try ripping off that body kit (it probably looks horrendous), and sell it to someone else, and use those funds to start buying suspension parts for your car.

ill try to make a vid and show u all up. on dirt jus rip the ebrake and u can drift better then a rear wheel drive. fwd u have a lot of control cuz u jus rip the ebrake get sideways and feather the gas and u will do an awesome drift. look i was jus wanting sum pointers not get told to rip my car that i built apart and sell it. if u cant give me sumthing reasonable then plz dont give me anything. this forum is for help not for ppl to tell u to take $hit off ur car. its a personal prefference and where i am from this is how ppl roll. thx

u want a pointer?

buy an s2000 and do some REAL drifting

oooor you can melt your bodykit and make yourself a flat shiny surface to drift your FWD car on.

fwd was made to go straight, or around a corner really fast, not competley sideways

dont u get sick of washing your car after "Drifting"?

Usually I'd have about 100 bad/negative/mean/flaming things to say to you, but I don't.

I actually have an interesting point to bring up.

I pretty much know exactly what you're talking about living in upstate, NY, with all the dirt/gravel driveways it's fun as **** to nail the throttle and rip the e-brake and make your FWD slide around turns. The people in CA probably don't understand it at all but yeah, I understand it's fun as ****.

On the flipside, I think bodykits are gay, and I think big aftermarket spoilers are gay, but to each his own - if you want them, go get them.

A spoiler won't help you because you won't reach speeds to where it would come into effect, not to mention a spoiler helps keep pressure over the REAR wheels...so it doesn't matter a whole-lot in a FWD car.

Though if you plan on ripping up the e-brake on dirt 'n gravel 'n **** with a lowered car with a full body kit you're gonna find yourself breaking **** off.

So don't drop the car, or put the stock paneling back on the car before you drop it.

And uhh, I'd ask an admin to lock this topic as it's just going to be (already is) a huge flam fest, but hey, do what ya want.

Here's some real pointers I can give you with the information provided:

1) Your body kit (Your visual tastes are none of my business, so I'll say nothing about it) will have a limited lifespan if you rally-slide/assdrag on dirt all the time. I'd suggest you get some stock pieces on stand-by for that, or even replace your kit with them while hitting the dirt hard. I wouldn't paint them if I were in your position though.

2) You could get some dirt tires with some smaller, sturdier wheels, so you can make sure you keep control, and not damage them.

3) In terms of suspension, you ought to find some struts with some good play, and some near-stock height springs, or some adjustables, kept at a relatively high stance.

4) A "drift" spoiler will gain you nothing, I wouldn't suggest getting one.

5) If you're really dedicated to this dirt stuff, you'll want to fab up some rock shields to protect your car's underside, and engine bay.

Now then, take your pick. I understand the fun in sliding around on dirt roads from back when I didn't care what my car looked like, and had a fairly higher stance. Believe it or not, we do have some really fun backroads here in Cali, and I intend to "rally out" my next beater all ugly like, and do the same again (AWD I hope). Thus, I have given some supportive, and what I hope are, helpful suggestions. Have fun with your off-road activities.

Oops, oh yeah. Mudflaps ought to be the most "bang for your buck" upgrade.
