iight my friend drove through a puddle and hyrdolocked his LS, well the insurance company is forking him over $2700 for it... he's gonna get a new motor and a kit for it, how much can his motor handle before internals, i was guessin around 9 psi...

stock internals will handle up to 14psi. but you'de need to do fuel work to get that. a complete stock engine can do 8-9 psi and be safe.

if you value your engine.. no more than 7psi.... a basic kit with some slightly larger injectors.. and your all set.. just tune it and dont up the boost..

Whoa, how does that work? Was it considered a road hazard or a collision and therefore covered by his policy? I wouldn't think an insurance company would cover that, and if they did, I would think they'd want to give the money directly to the shop. It's about time someone had a reasonable insurance company.

if you own the car, you can have them write you a check in your name and depending on the coverage you have for your car, it will cover hydrolock.

12psi tuned is not unreasonable. Some people boost like 16psi witha block guard.

id stay at 7lbs daily... then if you wanted to, up the boost to 9lbs. no more than that until you tune it right.
