Adjust the brake booster pushrod help
I think I have narrowed down my brake problem after some searching that I did. I think that I need to adjust the pushrod on my brake booster. Just to let you know what I have been dealing with over the past couple days...On Friday my drivers side front caliper was hanging up to where I couldn't spin the tire at all. I let it sit for a few hours and after it cooled off it released.
Well I just thought hey the caliper has probably gone bad even though I replaced it with a reman 8 months ago. So I put a new caliper on there and bled the brakes. Now my brake seems very stiff right off the bat, stiffer than it has even been, like it feels as if the brake is already depressed before I get my foot on it stiff.
Well I drove home last night and came back and parked my car in the garage. Normally when I put the car in neutral it will roll out of the garage by itself but it wasn't doing that. So I hopped out of the car and tried to push the car around and I could but it took a lot of effort. SO I went around the car and determined it was the front drivers side caliper dragging a bit.
So that brings me to the pushrod, I think I need to adjust it. When I loosen the star locknut on the pushrod which way do I need to turn the nut behind it so that my brake isn't dragging/constantly on? Turn it in so the pushrod is longer or out so the pushrod is shorter?
