the A/C belt snapped and the dashboard indicator lights went crazy...

okay so i need help with a lilttle problem....
well yeah, last night when i was driving my car; my a/c belt snapped. 
and when that happened; my dashboard just went nuts. the e-brake light, battery light, all the doors, and the trunk light came on the dashboard. so wtf is the problem !? i know replacing the a/c belt would not fix that damn dashboard. and yes, i unplugged the battery for a good 5 mins. 
so help PLEASE !

maybe because the A/C belt also runs the alternator?

yeah, it was the alternator belt. LOL. ************, this is like the 10th thing i hadda replace on the car in the past month. thanks guyss.
