Default maxbore on sleeves

i was wondering if i could go 86mm on my ls block?? how reliable is this kinda bore?? wat would be the best sleeves to go with for this type of bore?? thanks

if you plan on going 86mm i hope you are buying top notch sleeves such as darton or golden eagle...gl

We've used the Darton Open Deck Iron Ductile Sleeves to 87mm and with the Darton MID sleeves, you can get that to 87mm as well.

Yeah I would go with GE. although 86.mm is kind of pushing it, but hey your the one that will be blowing gaskets left and right. Just my 0.02

if this is a race car 86mm or 87mm is fine i sagest 86mm so you have a rebuild. if this is a street car i sagest 85mm they are much more reliable and again you have some rebuilds left in your block. by the way 85mm is max turbo bore
