i dunno about you guys but here where i live i constanly get bashed and other 4th gens as well and my cars not that bad... but i mean its just getting to a point where ya urge to kill some of them dammit its pissing me off!
what do you guys do about it?

i don't know what to do...

 

most of them wish they had a car that would last as long as your accord will

 

can someone please let me know what years the 4th gen and 5th gen cover???

 

4th gen is 92-93
5th is 94-97 (but we all know real fifth gens are 94-95 )

I'm actually one of the 3 or 4 at most around here that have a 4th gen and doing something with it. I love the fact no one else around here has one, so barely anyone knows what the hell it is.

i have a 4th gen and i never get ragged on my car is ugly but its pretty fast for an accord. I need paint and i need to repair some rust. Even with my defects my car is much better looking (and performing in a lot of cases) than most of the civics and accords riding around here with altezzas and wings.

Damn bro, that was pretty funny.

Anyway, I get bashed on my Accord all the time, and even more so because its an auto. The way I look at it, if I can beat a 4cyl 6th gen Accord, Altimas, integras, and even a V6 Camaro once (dont ask), and hung with a Probe GT, its not bad for a 10 year old small displacement 4cylinder family sedan with an auto tranny.

Everyone says the 4th gen is ugly, especially 5th gen owners. I just look at all the mechanical trouble they've been having and laugh in their faces (or at the monitor).

 

4th gens have wonderful simplicity in their design. My only feud with the 4th gen is that there is way less room just behind the fans for a turbo than in a 5th gen.

 

I only get ragged on here at HT in the Accord forum, but that is because my 4th gen is all rice.

This was my first car and i really wanted to make it fast, but when i got my CRX, reality hit me. so i stop spending money on my accord trying to make it fast. I just love it because it's super reiable and i know i's gonna last me like 11 more years cause its and auto and i never beat on it. It's funny because I live in MN where we have snow and I see light civics get stuck & slip and slide all over the place then i look at my accord and i'm pretty happy with it.

I think Accord owners in general get the least respect from the tuning crowd. I think a car that only needs $500 worth of suspension upgrades to outhandle most of their cars deserves some respect. In stock form, Accords are pretty soft, but Honda gave them potential to make them giant killers. I have emailed and called the guys at SCC several times and they seem receptive to the idea of an Accord as a performance car. I know from pesonal experience that a properly modified Accord can impress some of the most jaded drivers.
