If the b16 is obd0, then the distributor you are supposed to use is either the EXACT distributor that comes with the motor (sometimes hard to find if it is obd0 and jdm), or a 90-91 LS distributor. What car is this in?

I bet your Tach jumps around too? that rotor needs to be tight no matter what, you can use the LS with no cutting period.

Yes a losse rotor button can cause that, reinstall it with a dab of locktite so it won't vibrate back out.
and no your 1.8 dizzy will not work with the B16 since it won't even bolt up the same. I have seen some ghetto hack jobs of cutting one arm of the Teg dizzy and making it fit but again I will NOT promote suck hacked up sh*t.
....if you need an OBD 0 Vtec dizzy I have one that just needs a cap if you are in need for a working bolt in replacement

what ear off??</TD></TR></TABLE>
You asked if you could use a ls dizzy on a b16. I said you can you just have to cut the ear (leg) off the front. The vtec selonoid is in the way. It isn't a b16 dizzy, but it works fine and the other two bolt holes do line up.
