Well I finally worked out all the details regarding the car and now my loan company is telling me that they cannot issue the loan unless they have a smog test done for the R and have the paperwork saying it passed sent to them. Does this sound normal to anyone who might have had a car shipped from states that do not really have any smog laws to a state like California that does have very strict laws?

Any info you can give me is appreciated because if this issue is not resolved in the next couple of days, I'm going to lose the R that took me so long to find.

mebbe they can take the car to an Acura dealer and have the dealer send them a letter stating that the car is stock so it should pass smog.

My brother in law had his GSR Shipped from Florida to California and there wasn't any problems

i had to borrow money from family, fly out to texas, drive the car home, and THEN get the loan since the car had to be present at the bank for inspection before they would issue the loan.
i'm currently having my m3 shipped from texas and i have to borrow money again and then get my loan and pay off my other debts.
