Default B16 vs. itr transmission

Okay so I have been searching through the threads to find out an answer to my question. Which tranny is better, which I partially got answered which is the ITR tranny is better, but however is the ITR tranny better on the highway? is as annoying as the B16? because let me tell you, 4500 at 75 mph isn't cutting it.

i dont think that the itr tranny is going to be any better because if anything it is going to have lower gearing than the B16 tranny which means a higher final drive.

if acceleration and high rpms annoy you on the highway...get an ls tranny.

it depends on which b16 trand you are looking at, there are a couple diff kinds. one is nearly identical to the ITR

If you want comfortable highway driving, then put the LS 5th gear in. If you use any other tranny for a DOHC vtec motor, it will be the same.

And keep it on one thread.

Which one is identical to the type R. i think it is the ys1 cable? seen some charts of trannies and their gearing but cant remember how they are. i have a j1 and love it don't drive my car much and don't drive on the interstate long with it really... but at 70 mph yeah you will be doing about 4500 rpm's
