wach tach???

Default wach tach???

the car is a 96 dx with totally stock d16y7 I recently installed an EX cluster for the tachometer. when I start the car it takes a little while for the rpms to register, but eventually jumps up this has been up to a minute and seems to be getting worse. anyone ever have this before??? think its the tach?????

BTW there is no cel, and the car is working perfectly

it's most likely the tach. my 89 accord does this.

yeah, i did this to my DX too. havn't had a problem yet. i think it's gotta be your tach.

the best way to test it is to find another tach and put it in. see if any of the junkyards around you will sell you the tach out of the cluster.

yeah trying another tach would be best... the ******* junkyard around here wants $75 for a cluster. the guy, who is literally retarded, told me that they are a popular item, but all twelve of the 6th gens there still have the ******* cluster in them. long story short I'm not paying that much.

I was hoping someone else had this problem, and fixed it.. the only other thing I can think of is the distributor or wiring.
