There is no difference other than the fact the JDM has LSD. The gear ratios are exactly the same. So it doesn't really matter. The biggest difference when talking about JDM or USDM really is in the cams of a full swap. The JDM are obviously a little bit more aggresive. Hope this helps.

some gsr obd 1 tranny's are cable. it sounds like your's is hydro though. maybe you should check for that.
