There is the link to their website. You can probably purchase them from here.

smsp about 2 months back was saying 10 weeks for the hseries header. And he also said that you pay when the header is completed not up front like some other companys. Dave seemed like a real good guy so
for smsp
for smsp
yea personally i didnt have the time to wait either and ended up going with another company, however dave was a stand up guy, very straightforward and didnt bullshit you like many people in this business do.

Well, if youre not willing to wait on the companies.....I know HyTech usually has Spec1 Prelude headers in stock and ready to ship and Im sure they'll take on any SSR or SMSP.
I've bought two headers from Dave (SMSP), and I've been happy with both. His new form of payment (100% when he's ready to start building) is a good way to do things, IMO. I was on the list for a month or two, but after he asked for payment, I had the header within a couple of weeks.

Glad you clarified that.....
Its NOT upon completion, its upon work beginning.

Isn't SMSPs typical Prelude header design just a hyTech copy? It sure looks that way.

Come on Clint, you know better than that. No, it's not a copy. It doesn't have the same reversion chambers that John uses. Also the pictures I've seen of John's headers don't look like my header around the collector area.
Of course most H22 headers look similar to some extent depending on the cylinder pairing, but I'd bet if you took measurements, they would indeed be different. The first header I bought from Dave was the first production run. This header is his "Stage 2" design, and it looks slightly different up close. I've also seen pictures of an SMSP H22 Stage 3 header, and it looks a bit different than my Stage 2. Now, if all three were side by side, and the pictures were taken from a bit of a distance back, I'd bet you'd say they all look the same.
This isn't the time or place to bash someone because you like Hytech. I like Hytech too, I just got tired of the waiting. Fortunately, John shipped all my stuff back to me after a few weeks delay.

Ok so we all know dave is a good guy but what i am trying to get across is i have a very close friend and if dave were to read this the friend is Daniel. and he asked dave when could he get in a h22 header and dave said it would be awhile he was a couple months booked up. and i am in need of a qualitly header within 2 months for a race. imports vs domestics at maryland

A nice header from SMSP would compliment that build nicely! Might even put you over the 200whp mark easy!

I'd certainly hope so!! I'm at 204WHP on a dynojet at T1 (Tony Palo) with all stock internals (pistons, cams, valves, etc). on my track car.

If you need something within 2 months, then you're not going to find anything "custom" made like an SMSP unless you find someone who has one already for sale. Hytech certainly won't do a custom header that quickly. You could call and see if he has on in stock. That's you're only chance with them or SMSP (but AFAIK, David doesn't keep H series in stock).

i have a stock jdm header on right now,and the guy who tuned my car was telling me that i would never make much more then a stock h22 without a decent header because the high compression pistions were trying to push so much air out but the header was not allowing it and alot of the air was getting pushed back into the engine...... sound anywear right????

I not trying to bash SMSP at all.....honestly those comments about SMSP are not even my own. I guess I just can't understand why people wait forever for a standard SMSP when HyTechs are in stock and ready to go. Custom designs are a whole different world as we both know. I just think most people probably don't even need them.
As far as I am concerned there are only 3 headers for an H22 these days: SMSP/SSR-DTR/HyTech

Im sure its going to take some time. I know Nat waited awhile for it. If youre not ready to wait, you don't need one that bad. I bet they would tell you the truth about it though.
