NEED HELP! B18! Seal, gasket, what is it?
Ok, we recently swapped a 95 B18 motor into our 90 CRX DX using a Rywire harness, and all the Hasport goodies, etc. The car runs great, but we have a small oil leak coming from this seal near near the valve cover. I don't even know what it's called, and how do we go about changing it? Do we need to pull the valve cover off, etc.. any info would be greatly appreciated as I'm clueless and don't kno what this thing is!
Thanks for the props and the instructions guys! We picked up this cam seal from Acura yesterday. Is this the right part, or do we need the specific exhaust cam seal???
u bought the wrong one. it looks like u bought the cam shaft seal. the camshaft seal goes by the cam gears. u need a cam CAP seal. it should say PR4 on the cam its like a cup. so u shouldnt be able to see through it.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! Were planning on painting the valve cover right now, and I wanted to fix this leak while I had the valve cover off the car! So looks like I need a CAM CAP SEAL. crx_si-r, thank you very much, I'm going to Acura soon, I'll let you kno how things go!

oh yea if u want u can also get some honda-bond for the seal. cuz you will notice when u take the old one off that it is covered in it. i used it and dont regret it. good luck.
I actually just did mine, and I have lots of pics, if I'm not too late, I will have those pics up on my build thread before midnight (see signature). There is a picture of the Cam seal I purchased on the thread though....
It went good, thanks KrenzyRyan for posting the pics. Special thanks to crx_si-r for helping us get the right part..
We changed the cam cap seal last night. We used an RTV sealant around the cam cap, I'm sure it will do the job. Also, went ahead a painted the valve cover. I need to touch up the lettering on the valve cover in silver so it will look super fresh. Here's da pics

To make it look really nice you should polish the paint off the letters, don't use silver paint cause it will notllok as clean, the paint won't dry as smooth as spray paint. Trust me, polishing the letters out is the way to go
the V.C. paint job looks good to, nice job so far
