Default please give your opinion

I getting ready to by a car for every day driving and weekend racing. I can't seem to decide on a which car to choose. I have narrowed my decision between an mid 90's Civic or Integra or possibly an early 90's MX-5 Miata. My question is which one would be the most reliable on and off the track and on the cones! =D

both are pretty bombproof mechanically, and can be very capable on track.
I had a 96 slushbox civic coupe, and presently have a 95 miata.
as much as I appreciate the miata's handling off the shelf and the fact that its rwd, its pretty cramped and uncomfortable for a daily

Im about 5' 7" so maybe I will be able to fit in it nicely. Or maybe see if I can test drive a miata, since my friends dad is a dealer.

If you need to deal with snow and carry stuff around I'd get a Civic/Integra over a Miata.

What kind of racing do you want to do?
Choose your car and plan upgrades carefully to fit into classing structures before you buy anything.

I'll probably be doing some drag racing and autocross. I don't have to deal with snow but maybe one week out of the year.

So your on Honda-Tech asking whether we prefer a Honda or a Miata?

From personal experience, I fell a little less ghey driving a Civic then I do a Miata.

I've decided not to get a miata. Now I can't decide between an Integra or a Civic.

There is no answer. Your looking a completely personal preference question. Both have tons of aftermarket options and unlimited potential for whatever driving you want to do. Both cars can be stripped to under 2200 lbs and still be streetable. Engine swaps, suspension upgrades, etc,etc available for both.
Insurance and spare parts may be cheaper for the Civic.
You can get an ITR and with some minor upgrades have a blast on track (road course and auto-x, I do not drag).
Or a GSR teg with suspension is a fun track car too. A simple supercharger upgrade running ~8psi is a blast (I have a S/C for sale btw!)
Most Civic's are going to require an engine swap IMO to make them worthwhile. A Civic Si is a good base car, but hard to find.
Or you can go to the extreme like my civic and play with Vipers.

I thinking more toward the civic manly because I know more about it and it would be cheaper, but I want to have a dohc. Does anyone know if the H22 drops straight into an EG or EK/J? I've seen a convesion kit that uses a h22 and b series tranny.
