So I got my old alternator out, but it was so tightly wedged in the bottom bracket that I'm worried I won't be able to get the new one in.

Does anyone have any advice on getting this sucker back in? I was thinking if all else fails I could just file the bracket down a bit. Would that be a really bad idea?
