Security.

Besides that though, read and make up your own mind.

Once again, kid with a small budget picking the most expensive route to go fast with the worst platform for an all motor b-series build.

Do you have a 92-95 Si, or a 99-00 Si?

This is probably the most important question at the moment...

Regardless, Civic in CA... It should still be security.

That will only slow a good theif down by maybe 10 minutes.

Get a good paging alarm, a few kill switches, and a backup battery.

That intake will just move the power more than give you credible gains. For ~$300 (new) I could think of better things to vest my money in.

Once again, is this a sohc eh3 si? Or a 99-00 em1 si?

In the OP, he says he wants all money to the engine. So I was referring to the OP, not security. Yes, security is important when you are a Civic owner, but that's not what he was asking, is it?

Just giving him better advice. There's a good chance that the OP is just happy about the car and now wants it faster. You know... those people who invest in other things on their car before security?

I agree. Don't waste your time going all motor on a B16. You will end up spending twice you budget and maybe have 200whp....Maybe. Go turbo or don't waste your money on the motor.

r u sure your security is good bro? a simple alarm with a autolock/club lock isn't going to do it bro. My little bro just got a a 99 Si and he's been hit 3 times by theives already. Thankgod for his security setup, it saved his car. Invest in high security before you do anything.

* o and my little bro's had his Si for only 6months...

A boosted B16 would whoop on a K. You'd be over your 1500 unless you majorly half *** it, in which case you'll still be slow. You'd save lots of time and money stickin with the B16, but not all motor. Boost

To the person who said K20... that is obviously not an option living in Cali.

I wouldnt go all motor either. With cams, manifolds, p&p work etc. chances are you will not pass emissions.

Do some research for the time being, put that money into security or park it in the front of the driveway with a car behind it and plan on going turbo with a CARB certified kit. That is pretty much your only option unless you want to spend around 1k for I/H/E that will give you nothing in terms of hp.

I agree, boost it. Ihave an SI, too. I have done some modifications like stage 2 ACT clutch with six puck disc, fidanza flywheel, custom 3" cold air intake, skunk 2 pro series 64mm manifold and throttle body, megan racing 4-1 headers, custom 2.5 inch. exaust system, sci msd ignition, 8.5mm msd cables, NGK iridium plugs, msd blaster ss coil, boltage stabilizer, RC 310cc injectors, eam fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator, p28 ecu custom chip and the dyno results where 158 hp. very disapointed. the car only has 101k miles.
