blox A cams right now, upgrade to blox B or other stage 2 cam?
I have blox type A cams right now on a b18c1 with itr pistons. Ive been considering upgrading to the blox B or other stage 2 cam. My question is, will upgrading to a stage 2 cam increase some of my low end? Top end will increase too?
it all depends on the size of the camshaft. and if they are using a larger primary lobe than stock. ull gain some low end but most of the gain is gonna be mid and alot of high. whats ur compression ratio at with itr pistons?
im at 11.0 cr right now. I want some more power, but my concern is with the midrange. I like having high end as well, but my car is a street car, not a dragger. I have all the bolt ons:

well on my itr i made a huge gain from stock by going with buddy club spec 3 cams which imo are perfect for daily driving (but u will need new valve springs and retainers) and the occasional rip down the highway. the best way to make power is by porting the head, getting cams, port matching ur intake mani, and a good header with a 2.5 inch collector and a true 2.5inch exhaust.
yeah, i have a mild build right now. i like my setup, its quiet yet still aggressive, but a little more power wouldnt hurt. I know my oem gsr intake mani is really restricting me, but what do you guys think about my oem itr cat back? its 2.36, same diameter as a lot of aftermarket exhausts out there. Do you think ill notice any gains if i went with a 2.5 inch exhaust?

i actually have an ebay 2.5 inch exhaust in my garage right now, if i slapped it back on,

yeah, the reason i opted for the itr catback is because its oem sounding, yet its a 2.36 diameter. I had my 2.5 catback on for a few months, im using the ebay twin loop, and it was soooooo f*ing loud i had to take it off. I know getting a skunk or blox intake mani is something thats very realistic for me on my next to do list, but i mean, will slapping on my exhaust again make noticeable gains? Noticeable is the key.
the cost for bigger cams which includes getting new valvesprings, retainers and intake mani kind of has me wondering if i should just go with some itbs instead. My friend has a hookup on some toda knock offs that will be cheaper to do vs. all those other mods i just mentioned up top. I have the blox type A's currently, and they make good power. i hear they are supposed to be equivalent to s2s1 cams, and buddy clubs, though i hear buddy clubs make good midrange. If im going to have to upgrade springs and retainers, i might as well step up to a bigger cam since i have the 11.0 compression to match a bigger cam right?
if ur gonna do springs and retainers i would definitly go with a bigger cam. the bc3's are pretty big but will compliment ur comp ratio very nicely. i would seriously recommend a port though. get the head ported and port match th intake mani. a bigger throttle body would help too. but must be matched up to the intake mani.
what intake mani will give me good mid range power? and does anyone know the diameter in mm of the opening on the blox intake mani? Im considering the blox intake mani cuz its so cheap.

yeah, i read that thread, but no one has info on the blox. i know i can get it for like 150 on ebay, which is pretty damn cheap, but i want to hear from people who have similar mods, and switched over to the blox intake mani.. Will it really change my power band around a lot, cuz i had a blox intake mani on my LS motor, and it made it feel like ****.

He is right, it is VERY generous, but only because churches uses a dynapack which typically reads higher than a standard dyno jet. So with all their calculations on their page you would be able to calculate your real wheel HP. So your car is producing 192whp on a dynapack which should come out to around 208hp to the flywheel, but on a standard dynojet, you should be around 180-184WHP which would mean your making around 201hp to the flywheel.
