Default Wiring Help with Headlights

I just got some new headlights in but with the directions they gave me they tell me *connect the black line to the negative electrode of the park/signal side marker lamp." and " """"""""""""""red line to postive side" but on my headlights i only have 2 reds on each unit. just 2 red cables and thats it. How am i s'pose to wire them??

Take a test light or multimeter (if you don't have one, make the $20 or less investment ^_^) unplug your headlight, and test to see which lead is positive. Whichever lead shows a valid positive voltage or lights up the test probe red with the end connected to a good ground is your positive wire or "side". The opposite lead is your negative. Good luck!

From what you wrote I thought that the red wires were in the car, not on the new headlights. If that's the case then look on the wires and see if there is a stripe or other type of marking on one of the wires. If one of the wires is marked with a black stripe or other marking it is most likely the negative lead but I can't promise anything there. It all depends on the manufacturer and what they did. If both the wires are the same color it is possible that the set of lights you got could be non polar, however very unlikely. Is there any way you can post pics of what you've got? And not just generic pics, actually pics of what you've got.

oh halo rings.....they do go to the parking lights....positive and negative should be easily identifiable on the parking lights..the headlights connect up normal but the rings must be connected into your parking lights..connect one way and try if not do it the other way

ok so the red wires will connect to the post and neg of the parking lights... but on the two red wires i just gotta try each wire on the parking light to see if thats the correct one? correct? and will that be safe to the product?

I just put these in a week or so ago. My did come color coded though. I tested the halos first just to make sure they worked. They are just LED's. just put one red wire to the positive of your car battery and the other to the neg of your battery. If it turns on remember which is the positive and which is the negative. If it doesnt turn on try it the other way around. If neither turn on your LEDS (halos), then they do not work.

Just as dwayne said, they're LED halos. Good news is hooking up an LED backwards won't won't hurt it at all. Best of luck to you.
