Default New plan...different options...d15 or 16 hp upgrade

Ive read around here, Y8 head this, boost that...It sounds interesting and possibly like less hassle than doing an entire engine swap...but would it be practical on an engine with 133000 miles? And an automatic tranny?

If it is not practical...how much (SAID AND DONE) would a Type R b18c5 swap cost? (figure with labor or without depending on my peoples schedules).

Also, how does the Type R compare to say a Turbo'd AWD Talon?

This is my 3rd edit due to the "noob" thing on my name, but I have a CEL because my header removed the CAT...is there any way of fixing this ...removing that o2 censor...something??

What kind of money woudl be used to just upgrade the engine I have? Pistons valves cams etc, and would it be alot of work compared to the swap?

You'll definitely have to put in that 3rd pedal and all the corresponding junk if you want to even consider making a lot of power with a D series. That auto won't hold up.

Check out various websites- there are plenty of them. They'll have plenty of information on how much the engine and/or tranny costs. Then you call a shop and ask them how much they would charge to do an engine and tranny swap. Do your own homework instead of just asking someone else to do it for you. Now if you had said, "I can get an entire B18C5 swap for X dollars, what do you think of this price?" that would be more relevant and on-topic.

They are two different cars, with totally different characteristics. It depends on what you want in a car an what you're going to be doing with the car. Apples and oranges, kind of.

You're header ate your catalytic converter? You need to get a cat and take it to a muffler shop and have them shorten your exhaust pipe and put the cat directly after the header and they also need to weld in a bung so you can put that O2 sensor in there. Or you can just put tape on your gauge cluster

Will adding the cat tone the sound down? It is annoyingly loud right now...because i put on a muffler that a friend gave me off his integra (aftermarket). Will it get its deep tone back without the kackle?
