I just picked up a DC Sports Shift **** and I was ready to install it, but I cant figure out how to get the stock **** off. I know you have to do something to get the boot down and then twist it to the left, but how do you get the boot to "slide" down?

 

all you have to do to take the shift **** off is to twist it counter clockwise.

 

You don't need to remove the boot to install the shift ****. Just take off the stock ****. Twist hard. It's just screwed on.

 

So you just twist it counterclock wise? I tried that today but I guess I didnt do it hard enough...Is it hard to get it off?

 

just give it some elbow grease amn , it aint that hard.

AnythingtypeR....you asked a good question...don't worry about what anyone has to say..its their opinion, and they are welcome to it...Just screw it off conterclockwise..its threaded..then just screw the new shift **** on it...you can't break it cus its tough..
